HP Acquires Trinagy
HP and Trinagy Inc. have signed a definitive agreement under which HP will acquire Trinagy, a privately held supplier of advanced network performance management software for enterprise and service provider customers. Trinagy's software will augment the HP OpenView e-services management software portfolio with solutions that can maximize the performance and availability of business-critical applications and services delivered over the network. This includes the ability to quickly identify network performance problems; automatically analyze and predict performance issues; accurately project and allocate appropriate levels of network capacity; and deliver customized reports.
The Trinagy business will be integrated into the HP OpenView Business Unit. The acquisition is part of HP's ongoing strategy to enhance its software portfolio to help customers adapt quickly to change, manage complexity and transform their businesses for success. Trinagy's solutions complement the HP OpenView portfolio by being modular, highly scalable and built on open architectures. In addition, Trinagy has a strong presence in the service provider market, in which HP OpenView solutions already manage the top 10 U.S. service providers.
