Metalogix Software, a specialist in content lifecycle management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and cloud platforms, has integrated Migration Manager for SharePoint - File Share Edition and StoragePoint so organizations can consolidate file share content into SharePoint with high speed and fidelity.
The integrated product suite features the new versions of Migration Manager for SharePoint and StoragePoint. Migration Manager for SharePoint is now StoragePoint-aware, creating a solution with improved performance. Organizations can add or modify metadata, adjust permissions, and change the folder structure.
StoragePoint allows organizations to quickly link file shares with SharePoint without actually moving the files. Once linked, the file-share data can be accessed directly through SharePoint to take advantage of the platform’s features, such as permissions, workflows, search, and metadata.
Migration Manager for SharePoint - File Share Edition’s features help administrators easily analyze and identify important aspects of existing content so they can make well-informed decisions about how and where content should be moved into SharePoint. When both products are installed, the side-loading feature allows administrators to bypass SQL and load BLOBs directly to endpoints.
