Sepaton, Inc., a backup and recovery solutions provider, has released its S2100-ES3 series 2922 purpose-built appliance with version 6.3 software. The next-generation data protection platform features Hitachi Data Systems HUS 100 storage arrays for 25 percent more capacity, a new high point for single system capacity.

Sepaton’s S2100-ES3 platform is designed specifically for large backup and restore operations to reduce the cost and risk of data protection by delivering the performance, grid scalability, deduplication, flexibility and enterprise-class reliability needed to protect massive, fast growing data volumes in a single system.

Sepaton’s DBeXstream technology cuts capacity while speeding backup times for very large enterprise databases such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL. Version 6.3 software supports OST optimized duplication, enabling faster and more efficient duplication by reducing the workload on the NetBackup media servers and on the network.

Sepaton S2100-ES3 with version 6.3 software is immediately available. List pricing for the S2100-ES3 Series 2922 starts at $335,000. Current S2100-ES2 customers can add new HUS 110 storage to existing products seamlessly.
