MKS Improves SCM with New Product Editions

Mortice Kern Systems Inc., a provider of software configuration management (SCM) solutions has released the MKS Source Integrity Edition 8.1 and the MKS Integrity Manager 4.2.

MKS Source Integrity Enterprise Edition 8.1 features an advanced multi-tier architecture, multi-platform enablement written in Java for complete platform transparency and automatic branching/merging, and more. It also includes advanced release management and a new permissions and policy management system, which offers support for project-, branch- and file-specific permissions and enables project- and branch-specific policies. MKS Source Integrity Enterprise Edition 8.1 has improved integrations with Microsoft Visual Studio, WebGain Visual Café and IBM Visual Age for Java and is offering new client support for Sun Solaris 8.0 (SPARC), Red Hat Linux 6.2, AIX 4.3 and HP-UX 11.0.

The MKS Integrity Manager 4.2 is essentially the glue that binds the MKS product line together, connecting a wide variety of teams and individuals across a global development organization to the software change process.

MKS Integrity Manager 4.2 completely integrates with MKS Source Integrity Enterprise Edition 8.1 for workflow-enabled enterprise SCM, and with MKS Source Integrity Standard Edition for small, localized development teams with mature process requirements. New features include integration with Microsoft Project 98 and 2000, improved process management for software development, enhanced permissions management and flexible licensing. MKS Integrity Manager 4.2 is also extending client and server support to include Sun Solaris 8.0 (SPARC), Red Hat Linux 6.2, IBM AIX 4.3 and HP-UX 11.0. It will also offer new database support for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and DB2.
