DecisionOne Joins Lotus Support Team

DecisionOne Corp. (Frazer, Pa.) solidified its position as a third-party provider of Lotus Development Corp. (Cambridge, Mass.) support in distributed environments when it was named an Authorized Support Center by Lotus.

Lotus selected DecisionOne to become a Lotus Authorized Support Center (LASC) primarily for its experience in help desk support for a range of business software applications and operating systems and for the company's knowledge of Lotus technologies.

To be certified as an LASC, companies are required to have "proven excellence in support services delivery, as well as an established support infrastructure with a core competency of providing end-user technical support," according to published reports. DecisionOne was also required to adhere to Lotus' support standards for Lotus technology, and must have certified Lotus professional on staff.

As a result of its certification, DecisionOne is expected to provide technical support for Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino and Lotus SmartSuite.
