Sterling Commerce Inc. has added another component to its overall e-business process integration (BPI) offering with the announcement of a new e-business broker, GENTRAN:Catalyst.
With a flexible, rules-driven integration environment, GENTRAN:Catalyst enables companies to integrate their own business processes with any other business processes and eliminates the need for costly custom programming. GENTRAN:Catalyst also embraces multiple technologies, including XML and the Internet, to fully integrate an e-business community.
“Sterling Commerce is committed to providing E-business integration solutions that our customers and prospects demand,” says Dave Dodge, president, GENTRAN product family. “GENTRAN:Catalyst compliments our existing BPI capabilities and allows our customers to integrate more of their business processes to further reduce costs and improve responsiveness to their customers. Sterling Commerce now offers a wide range of e-business integration capabilities that no other solution provider can match.”
Some of the features of GENTRAN:Catalyst include: XML translation support to accommodate a multitude of XML schemas; routing and translation decisions made in real-time; full message management capabilities; and direct access to ODBC databases from the translator so read and write operations into database tables can be done in one step.
