COM for Jacada Connects Allows Integration with AS/400 Apps

Jacada Ltd. (Atlanta) announced Monday that it is now possible to integrate any Microsoft-based e-commerce solution with any mainframe or AS/400 application using Jacada Connects, now featuring a Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) adapter.

The Jacada Connects COM adapter allows customers to fully integrate COM-based e-commerce products (like Active Server Pages within Microsoft’s Internet Information Server or IBM’s Net.Commerce), with existing back-end systems. Customers now have the option of using Jacada Connects new COM API or its standard Java API to integrate e-commerce sites with existing business applications.

Many companies who put off back-office integration have seen lower profits, damaged customer relations, and have even been forced to shut down their Web sites, according to the Gartner Group. Jacada Connects assists companies in achieving this integration, without requiring extensive modifications to their existing host environment, according to its developers.

“Jacada Connects has solved this integration problem by providing seamless access between Java-based custom or packaged e-commerce solutions and back-end systems,” said Rob Morris, director of product marketing for Jacada. “Adding the Microsoft COM adapter for Jacada Connects completes the picture by enabling rapid integration between virtually any e-commerce solution and the existing back-end processes.”

The COM adapter for Jacada Connects is immediately available. Pricing begins at $10,000 for a starter kit, which includes the Software Development Kit and a deployment license for 10 concurrent sessions.
