FirePond and Fujitsu Leverage E-Business Partnership

FirePond Japan K.K., a subsidiary of FirePond Inc. and a global provider of integrated e-business solutions for multi-channel selling, has formed a strategic alliance with Fujitsu, Japan's leading IT solutions provider. Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will market, sell and support the FirePond Application Suite throughout the Japanese market. The FirePondApplication Suite will be sold through Fujitsu's established network of dealers and partners, while Fujitsu will also form a specialized organization to support the product.

The agreement between FirePond and Fujitsu plays a key role in Fujitsu's Internet solutions strategy. With the addition of the FirePond Application Suite, Fujitsu can now offer its mid- to top-tier corporate customer base a comprehensive e-business platform for multi-channel selling, while incorporating hardware and infrastructure to complete the solution. Fujitsu also plans to provide a standard integration between the FirePond solution with its own GLOVIA ERP application.

The FirePond Application Suite provides an integrated platform for the guided selling of complex products and/or services whether they are sold through an e-commerce channel, by a direct sales force, or an indirect channel. Leveraging the FirePond technology, companies implement enterprise business processes that are tightly integrated to real-time information about customer behavior, preferences and transaction activity.
