Hummingbird Ltd. (Toronto), a worldwide provider of enterprise software solutions, recently announced alliances with two global information providers, EBSCO Publishing and NewsEdge Corporation, to provide Hummingbird EIP customers with unparalleled customized access to a wide variety of relevant business information.
Through these alliances, Hummingbird EIP customers can now choose to have easy desktop access to the vast and diverse information resources held by these two companies.
The personalization capabilities of the Hummingbird EIP will enable users to customize the vast content resources from these providers to either individual or community specifications – thereby creating a community information channel within an enterprise.

EBSCO Publishing will provide Hummingbird EIP users with easy access to the company's Corporate ResourceNet database, which houses information from over 2,000 full-text periodicals, a directory covering over 1.6 million companies, over 60,000 hand-selected Web links, and an image database of 10,000 images.
NewsEdge will provide Hummingbird EIP users with direct access to an extensive menu of information offerings including: live news, detailed business briefings covering more than 1,400 subject areas and over 30,000 companies; company information, and market listings.
