U.S. Navy Sails for Research Development
CoCreate Software Inc., a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard, announced that OneSpace, CoCreate’s virtual product collaboration technology solution, has been selected by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport as its collaboration standard for its Common Product Development Process (CPDP). Using the OneSpace solution, NUWC can now provide realtime collaboration capabilities for internal concept development and to its private sector partners around the world. Terms for the contract were not disclosed.
OneSpace provides the infrastructure needed for companies and their expanded design chains to meet in a virtual conference room where they can connect in realtime, regardless of geographic boundaries. OneSpace is a secure, Web-based and CAD-neutral platform. NUWC will use the OneSpace solution to share concept design activities with its contracting and subcontracting partners.
