Nexgen Software Technologies, Inc. (Naperville, Ill.), a provider of ERP implementation and custom modification, has become a Business Partner for J.D. Edwards (Denver), a provider of agile, collaborative solutions for the Internet economy.

"We began looking for another ERP system to add to our portfolio last year, when some of our customers became uneasy about the future of BPCS and began looking for an ERP system that would serve them well into the new millennium," explains Rick Halsten, president and general manager of Nexgen. "After looking at several ERP systems, we chose J.D. Edwards because it offered by far the best solution for commerce in the new economy. Their belief in 'collaboration' and 'open systems' was also important to us. This brings tremendous benefit to our customers because it allows us to pitch the best solution to solve their problem. At J.D. Edwards, they say: 'The freedom to choose the power to share.' And they deliver. This is very powerful.”

Nexgen is a provider of services and software solutions for the BPCS and CA-PRMS enterprise resource planning systems, which run on the IBM AS/400. J.D. Edwards develops and markets the OneWorld and WorldSoftware ERP systems.
