Recording Academy and IBM Launch Official GRAMMY Awards Webcast
The Recording Academy and IBM have designed and launched the Official Webcast of the 43rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. The site (www.grammy.com) will provide frequent updates of its exclusive content preceding, during and after the GRAMMY Awards on February 21.
The 2001 Webcast contains many new features: Fans can hear and purchase the music of nominated artists via the Academy’s partnership with Tower Records, which also provides detailed artist biographies. The Features section presents in-depth interviews with artists, stories about current issues in the music industry and the latest news about the 43rd Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Other key features include a searchable database of past winners, complete lists of GRAMMY Hall of Fame inductees, Lifetime Achievement, Technical GRAMMY and Legend Award recipients, as well information on GRAMMY history and the Recording Academy’s year-round music education, health and wellness and arts advocacy initiatives, a full list of this year’s nominees, and an explanation of the Award’s process. A complete list of this year’s winners will also be posted immediately following the telecast.
