Fiserv, Lakeview Technology Cluster-Enable Banking Services
Lakeview Technology has announced the completion of MIMIX FastPath solution services at Fiserv to cluster-enable its International Comprehensive Banking System banking solution for IBM AS/400 and iSeries 400 midrange computers.
Fiserv, headquartered in Brookfield, Wis., is a supplier of information-management solutions that provide e-business technology for banking and Internet commerce. Fiserv's ICBS is a complete retail financial automation solution with an architecture that links every aspect of the banking enterprise.
Running on IBM AS/400 or iSeries 400, ICBS is a mission-critical solution that carries out real-time product management, general ledger and account-processing functions. MIMIX FastPath creates the application elements required for clustering on AS/400 and iSeries 400. The solution includes tools, methods, services and expertise to cluster-enable both Independent Software Vendor-packaged applications and custom-developed applications to meet the requirements of Lakeview's ClusterReady program. FastPath minimizes, or in some cases even eliminates, the need to modify the existing application code base, providing a simplified path to achieving IBM ClusterProven status.
To be eligible to use Lakeview's ClusterReady brand, independent software vendors or customers with in-house developed applications must cluster-enable their applications for AS/400 or iSeries 400 using the MIMIX FastPath solution service. The applications must pass a rigid series of established testing requirements that certify a uniform, baseline functionality in accordance with IBM Redbook specifications for clustering on AS/400 and iSeries 400.
