Compaq Bows Out of Proxicom Deal
Proxicom Inc. announced last Friday that it was prepared to accept a takeover offer from Dimension Data Holdings, after Compaq declined to increase its original $5.75 per share offer. Dimension Data offered $7.50 per share on May 7.
Proxicom is prepared to sign a definitive agreement with Dimension Data, and will pay Compaq a $10 million termination fee.
