MAPICS Appoints New VP, Looks to Extend Product Reach

MAPICS Inc. has named Scott McMartin vice president of channel development, as the Atlanta-based company is ramping up an initiative to market new products to its channel partners. In his new position, McMartin’s primary responsibility will be expanding MAPICS' current affiliate channel across North America.

Specifically, McMartin's role is to ensure MAPICS customers continue to receive consistent, high-quality products and services regardless of the way their systems are configured or their geographic location. He will recruit additional channel partners focused on developing new business for MAPICS.

"To best serve mid-market manufacturers dealing with emerging technologies and in need of proven products, we needed to augment our network of affiliates," said McMartin in a statement. "We have the products to meet the demand, and we are now focusing our channel development efforts on ensuring our customers continue to receive the products and services they need to remain competitive in today's collaborative environment."

MAPICS is evaluating opportunities to develop strategic relationships with companies in key geographic regions in North America. Under its affiliate program, MAPICS provides certification classes designed to educate resellers on MAPICS’ products. Ultimately, the program is intended to ensure MAPICS affiliates are properly performing implementations.
