ViaFone Becomes HP Partner
ViaFone, a provider of mobile enterprise application software, has been selected by HP to become a Worldwide Mobile e-Services Partner. In this capacity, ViaFone will tailor its product and service offerings for HP enterprise customers. Having worked with HP through a comprehensive incubation process, ViaFone is now selling and marketing a complete end-to-end solution with HP using mobile field service and sales applications comprised of ViaFone OneBridge' and HP servers, handhelds, management software and professional services.
According to Bernard Desarnauts, CEO of ViaFone, " Mobile business solutions - powered by the ViaFone OneBridge platform and the complete range of HP devices, software and services - will enable all field personnel to instantly receive and send information to core business applications, ensuring front-line customer personnel are never cut off from mission critical e-business applications."
"HP has a significant presence in the enterprise mobility market," said Nigel Ball, vice-president and general manager, HP e-Services Partner Division. "This agreement with ViaFone will build on that strength and further extend our wireless capabilities into enterprise service and sales organizations."
An enterprise mobility platform, ViaFone OneBridge delivers voice and wireless data applications across all popular communications devices: PocketPC and Palm handhelds, RIM BlackBerry pagers and landline, cellular and WAP-enabled phones. ViaFone has worked closely with the HP Partner Technical Assistance Center (P-TAC) to carefully tune, test and certify ViaFone OneBridge to interoperate as efficiently as possible with HP's Microsoft Windows 2000 and HP-UX servers.
