Computer Associates Helps Reunite Separated Families
Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) announced the global expansion and significant enhancement of Korea's Separated Family Reunion Web site, a CA-sponsored initiative dedicated to reuniting separated families across Korea and beyond. Operated jointly by CA and the Korea Welfare Foundation since May 2000, the Separated Family Reunion Web site has facilitated the successful resolution of some 226 family separations. The site now receives nearly 2,500 page hits per day.
Positioned for a globally expanded user base, the site is being re-launched with upgrades, as well as points of integration with similar initiatives such as the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC).
Specific enhancements include the addition of information sharing and browsing services in English, real-time streaming video capabilities, and a simplified, user-friendly interface. The site expansion is expected to increase its user base, therefore increasing the reunification chances for searching family members.
In addition, site visitors now have access to resources and information on missing children via a direct connection to the ICMEC, a CA-supported network of international initiatives focused on the resolution of cases involving missing children throughout the world.
