Oceanport, N.J., December 4, 2006 -- CommVault® today announced support for “legal hold,” the ability to lock down electronically stored information, as well as other capabilities that address the recently enacted amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP).
According to Gartner, “Several legal commentators believe that the heart of the proposed changes to FRCP is the formal codification of “electronically stored information” (ESI) and the recognition that the traditional discovery framework dealing with paper-based documents is no longer adequate.” (See note 1, below)
