Dataupia Unveils Dataupia Satori Server 12000

Appliance transparently integrates with existing databases

Dataupia Corporation today announced the availability of its data management system, the Dataupia Satori Server 12000, which integrates server, storage, and optimization software in a scalable appliance. The company says the model is “the industry’s first and only data warehouse appliance designed specifically for database and application transparency.”

The Dataupia Satori Server combines specialized software and industry-standard hardware and allows large amounts of data to remain on-line and easily accessible by reporting and analytic applications without dedicated support resources, thus reducing maintenance costs.

“Most companies and large organizations are only using a small fraction of data available to improve business operations and maximize investments made to meet growing regulatory requirements,” said Dan Vesset, research director, analytics and data warehousing software at IDC. “Decisions about data retention should not have to be made on the cost of keeping the data, but rather should be made on the value that data brings to the business.”

Other Dataupia Satori Server features include:

  • Transparent interoperability with existing technology and infrastructures

  • Constant, real-time access to data via affordable online storage

  • Rapid processing of queries against large data volumes

  • Native database support for Oracle, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server databases

  • Plug-and-play installation
