mValent Integrity v5 Improves Configuration Provisioning, Compliance Reporting Capabilities to IT

Adds automated compare, advanced change reporting features

mValent, Inc., an application configuration management solutions provider, today released mValent Integrity v5, providing infrastructure and application support teams with advanced tools for application configuration as well as change and release management. The program adds capabilities for provisioning configuration settings simultaneously to large-scale distributed environments, detecting and managing configuration changes and in-depth change reporting for IT audit and compliance.

The company said in a statement that its flagship product “reflects the growing realization of global customers that their existing approaches to managing application configurations prevent them from rapidly delivering cutting-edge applications that drive competitive advantage and are economically burdensome.” It allows IT to automatically provision configuration settings across multiple hosts and locations, reducing the errors introduced in manual efforts that can also delay global roll-outs of new or updated applications.

mValent Integrity v5 includes new analytical capabilities to its “Compare” tool; it pinpoints configuration inconsistencies that often cause application downtime or outages. The program’s new automated change dashboard reports variances from configuration standards so that compliance problems can be avoided.

“IT teams face continual pressure to improve application uptime and staff productivity, reduce fire drills and automate IT audit and compliance in order to meet and exceed the needs of the business,” said Joe Forgione, president and CEO of mValent, in a statement.

Other important features of mValent Integrity v5 include:

  • Simultaneous provisioning of multiple global hosts: Using a single source as a configuration master, users can provision application configuration settings to multiple target host systems, for a single application infrastructure element or across the software stack

  • Automated compare feature: Detailed change detection and analysis can be set to execute either on a user-defined schedules or on an ad-hoc basis using mValent Integrity’s advanced “Compare” capability; users can monitor configuration differences over time between similar assets or the entire environment

  • Advanced change reporting for compliance applications: Reports from the programs’ Infrastructure Change Dashboard can be generated automatically and delivered via e-mail to selected recipients in multiple formats

  • New Java API: Allows new integration capabilities
