Business Objects Releases Xcelsius Engage 2008
Helps leverage live data in interactive presentations
Business Objects has released Xcelsius Engage 2008, a data presentation and dashboard tool that can turn complex business data into dynamic, actionable displays by anyone familiar with spreadsheets.
Xcelsius Engage provides a point-and-click interface for building dashboards that offer real-time visibility into business performance. Users can “mash up” data from multiple sources without coding. The software uses Microsoft Excel as its data modeling foundation for creating interactive data visualizations and dashboards.
New features included in Xcelsius Engage include
A tab set container component helps users create easy-to-navigate multi-tab dashboards without writing any code
Trend analyzer simplifies discovery of trends and patterns in data by automatically inserting statistical calculations into the Xcelsius visualization at load time
A comprehensive library of country maps for many geographical areas of the world.
Xcelsius 2008 Engage results can be integrated with Crystal Reports 2008; it can also connect to Adobe LiveCycle Data Services. A new software development kit (SDK) helps users build customizable, dynamic visualizations.
Xcelsius Engage 2008 and Xcelsius Engage Server 2008 are now available. Enterprise-class editions are also available for BusinessObjects XI 3.0. More information is available at http://www.businessobjects.com/xcelsius/.
