AlgoSec Debuts FireFlow Solution

New change workflow solution scheduled to be released in Q3

This week, AlgoSec Inc. launched its new FireFlow change workflow product, designed to complement the AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA) suite. FireFlow will become generally available sometime in Q3 of this year, the company said.

FireFlow lets companies automate their workflow management process, including the approval verification and implementation of security policies. According to a company press release, this would give users "transparency" and "an unprecedented level of IT governance" in terms of their network's security.

Among FireFlow's capabilities are the ability to create audit-ready reports, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and analyze the need for -- and the impact of -- a particular change.

"A direct result of customer demand, FireFlow is the first workflow solution that automates the entire lifecycle of network security policy changes," said AlgoSec CTO and Co-Founder Dr. Avhishai Wool in the press release. "With FireFlow, we provide an automated solution with built-in deep risk analysis capabilities that not only integrates with firewall deployments, but also integrates with enterprises' existing change management methods." FireFlow features support for Juniper, Cisco and CheckPoint, among other vendors. It also works with various change management systems such as HP ServiceCenter and BMC Remedy.

FireFlow pricing will start at $24,000. For more information, go to http://www.algosec.com/en/products/fireflow_overview.php
