UC4 Software Ships Agent to Automate SOA and Cloud Computing
New UC4 Agent for Web Services bridges legacy applications with Web services; helps enable end-to-end automation into the cloud

UC4 Software has released UC4 Agent for Web Services. The new agent initiates and manages Web services-enabled jobs as part of background processing and enables customers to extend the benefits of automation into SOA and cloud environments.
According to Vincent Stueger, chief technology officer at UC4 Software, "With UC4 V8 and our new Agent for Web Services, customers can bridge traditional batch scheduling jobs with Web services or cloud-based applications and manage them all from one automation platform."
The UC4 Agent for Web Services allows customers to bring the automation’s benefit of lower costs to SOA and the cloud, reduce risks in modernization projects, and extend automation to Web services-enabled applications and tools. With an intuitive user interface for rapid execution, the UC4 Agent for Web Services supports WSDL and SOAP and virtually eliminates the need for manual coding and command lines.
