Netuitive Unveils Self-learning Management Solution for Cloud Infrastructures

Netuitive, Inc has released Netuitive 5.0 to help organizations that need to manage the performance of highly dynamic and distributed cloud infrastructures. With this release, Netuitive both unifies its Service Analyzer and Netuitive SI products into a single, comprehensive solution and delivers a productized Performance Management Database (PMDB).
Netuitive 5.0 enables automated end-to-end service views and monitoring administration of systems and services within cloud infrastructures so organizations can improve system performance, ensure service quality and availability, and leverage existing investments while reducing operating and administrative costs.
Built with self-learning and continuously adaptive software based on nine technologies and 20 years of research, Netuitive 5.0 replaces human guesswork with automated mathematics and analysis to understand normal system behavior across IT silos, isolate root causes of service issues, and forecast degradations before they impact performance.
Netuitive 5.0's new features include:
Unified Visualization: Aggregates service views from distributed infrastructures, regardless of monitoring source or geography, to deliver a real-time dashboard view of end-to-end service health. Netuitive 5.0 self-learns and correlates the performance for every component that enables an organization’s private cloud service -- including physical and virtual servers, storage, network, and applications -- to provide visibility, performance forecasting, and root-cause isolation. Netuitive 5.0 also now provides roll-up views of the sub-services that might make up a complete cloud service offering. For example, an organization’s “Online Storefront” service can be seen in context with its subordinate application services such as “authentication,” “catalog lookup,” “inventory,” and “credit card authorization” -- even if some of these are enabled by third-party providers.
Performance Management Database (PMDB): Leverages data already being collected by existing systems monitoring tools (e.g. BMC, CA, IBM, HP, Microsoft, VMware) to deliver a rich source of IT performance information for capacity management. Organizations can now search millions of data points to quickly evaluate system performance to fully optimize under-utilized infrastructure assets, including servers, storage, and network components. The Netuitive PMDB collects raw performance data of 10-1000 KPIs per system from physical or virtual components, integrates and normalizes data from any monitoring source, and supports metadata or the use of a CMDB to describe system attributes. By drawing on the performance data, organizations can instantly analyze resource utilization from hundreds of different angles, such as identifying the most under/over-utilized servers; identifying factors driving the workload for a group of servers; or analyzing resource usage by application, region, owner, business unit, or service. Users can also export data to third-party enterprise reporting and analysis tools for long-range capacity planning.
