Oracle Application Express Release 4.0 Now Available
Rapid Web application tool for Oracle Database streamlines development and usability with websheets and dynamic actions features

Oracle has introduced Oracle Application Express Release 4.0 that will aid in the the building of Web 2.0 applications and reports. The new upgrade also involves Oracle Application Express and Oracle Database 11g.
New features in Oracle Application Express Release 4.0 include:
- New dynamic actions allow developers to declaratively incorporate dynamic client-side processes, alleviating the need to learn JavaScript and AJAX to provide a Web 2.0 user experience
- Plug-ins extend the development environment by enabling developers to incorporate custom components
- RESTful Web services enable integration with RESTful Web services via a declarative interface
- Websheets provide a quick and simple way to integrate and share content and data on the Web
Improved themes provide a user interface that is compliant with XHTML and CSS standards
