Jinfonet Software has released JReport 10, adding rich visualization and interactive reporting to a robust, agile BI platform. JReport 10 provides embedded operational reporting to developers and self-service reporting to end users.
Rich visualization promotes better understanding of data by enabling sophisticated, interactive visual presentations. JReport extends the limits of crosstabs, charting, and dashboards with on-screen filters, cascading parameters, and data-sharing auto-refresh components, providing a richer user experience. With increased interactive capabilities, more reusable report components, and the ability to visually slice, dice, and drill down, rich visualization helps you to get more from your data.
Integrating data with geo-spatial maps allows end users to see data from a multi-level geographical perspective, with drill-down support for further details. JReport’s enhanced charting includes multi-axis bullet, combo, gauge, bubble, and dozens more, making reports and dashboards more expressive.
JReport’s agile business intelligence makes report creation and deployment fast and simple. JReport seamlessly embeds in any Java application and can connect to any data source, giving immediate access to operational data from the application interface. JReport Server Live provides powerful Web 2.0 self-service reporting so users can intuitively create multi-component web reports without requiring the assistance of developers.
End users can also swiftly modify deployed reports to directly reflect their needs -- for example, by adding columns, groups, pivoting, and filtering, and by quickly switching between different chart types or table styles.
JReport Server Live uses AJAX technology to create advanced rich Internet applications (RIAs) that are more interactive and responsive. With report layout offloaded to the browser, report interaction and on-screen refresh are expedited. The streamlined architecture greatly reduced server workload and communication overhead, making the JReport Server Live extremely scalable and capable of handling a very large user population without performance deterioration.
