MokaFive has extended its virtual-desktop solutions family with the release of MokaFive BareMetal, a client hypervisor that installs directly onto the bare metal of users’ machines, providing strong performance, iron-clad security, and control over every aspect of the desktop software stack.

BareMetal was designed for maximum control, performance, and security. It accommodates a broad range of hardware and requires only 2GB of RAM and a 64-bit compatible CPU.

MokaFive supports corporate-owned PCs, desktops, laptops, Macs, PCs -- a wide range of workplace hardware and operating systems. When implemented as a complete solution, the MokaFive Suite can reduce the total cost of desktop management by up to 60 percent.

MokaFive Suite already included the ability to run a secure, managed virtual desktop on top of Macs, PCs, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices -- whether online or offline. With BareMetal, that capability is extended to allow the virtual desktop to be installed directly on the hardware’s bare metal, eliminating the need for a host OS and enabling management of any PC in the enterprise through a single console.

BareMetal integrates with the company’s MokaFive console.
