Schooner Information Technology, Inc. has begun to ship SchoonerSQL, a full build of the widely used MySQL database and its standard InnoDB storage engine, with enhancements that provide 99.999 percent service availability with full data integrity, immediate and automated failover, and recovery across a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Additional improvements include unlimited scaling with strong performance and high data consistency as well as simplified cluster administration.
SchoonerSQL addresses the needs of database administrators and data center managers who must deliver minimal downtime, ensure maximum service availability for their online transaction processing (OLTP) applications, and want the simplicity and low cost of a MySQL-based offering.
