Metalogix has shipped Content Matrix 6.0, a solution to help enterprises upgrade, migrate and continuously organize SharePoint content. Going beyond basic Microsoft upgrade and site organization tools, this solution delivers power and speed as well as the flexibility to upgrade to SharePoint 2013 from any previous version of SharePoint (2003, 2007 and 2010). Content Matrix 6.0 is the evolution of Metalogix Migration Manager -- its SharePoint upgrade technology introduced in 2001.
“Organizations are looking for better and faster ways to support and manage the rapid growth of content driven by rich media, Web applications, mobile technology, and social solutions. Our customers alone are experiencing over 60 percent content growth year-over-year and are struggling with managing and upgrading their SharePoint environments,” said Steven Murphy, CEO, Metalogix.
With Content Matrix 6.0, SharePoint architects and administrators can easily and quickly upgrade from any version of SharePoint to SharePoint 2013. They can also migrate file shares and documents from legacy enterprise content management (ECM) systems and keep SharePoint content organized in a high fidelity and ongoing basis. Content owners have more control over content directly from the SharePoint user interface.
Content Matrix 6.0 provides one-hop, high-speed, and high-fidelity migration of content from any previous version of SharePoint. Users can identify existing content, build out a new site structure, and move content when, where, and how they prefer.
Content Matrix 6.0 rapidly consolidates all business content into SharePoint without losing context and metadata and other relevant attributes such as permissions or information structure. Users can easily and effectively connect and move terabytes of content from file shares, Web sites, blogs, and wikis, legacy enterprise content management platforms, and Google Docs.
As business needs evolve, projects change and departments reorganize, an enterprise’s initial organized site structure and information architecture can unravel and cause user confusion and errors. Using the content organization capabilities in Content Matrix 6.0, users can keep SharePoint site structures in sync in any dynamic business environment. Users can split or merge sites and site collections or reorganize the structure of their existing SharePoint farms.
Content Matrix 6.0 enables users to move SharePoint to the cloud by connecting with an organization’s Office 365 environment and giving users the ability to move content in either direction between on-premises or the cloud.
Content Matrix 6.0 also allows SharePoint content owners to organize and manage their sites and content directly from within the SharePoint user interface. Users with appropriate permissions and rights can easily move, bulk upload, tag and classify their content within the SharePoint farm.
