Nintendo Gets in CRM Game with Infinium

iSeries solution provider Infinium has signed video game giant Nintendo of America Inc. to a new contract. Under terms of the deal, Nintendo will use Infinium’s customer relationship management solution to support its channel marketing and customer support efforts.

Infinium’s CRM package is a hosted offering, which attracted Nintendo to it because it represented an opportunity to implement marketing and support practices at a low cost, and with minimal maintenance. Whereas in-house alternatives would have required Nintendo to dedicate man hours and more up-front cost to implement, Infinium’s hosted solution requires no desktop management and can be deployed for a predictable monthly cost.

Specifically, Nintendo will use Infinium’s CRM technology as the cornerstone of its Retail Marketing Program, which is a company-wide initiative designed to streamline the path to market for Nintendo’s products.

Currently, Nintendo is using some of Infinium’s financial management solutions. The combination of this existing relationship, as well as Infinium’s iSeries expertise played a large role in Nintendo’s decision to contract with Infinium for its CRM solution, which will need to be tightly integrated with Nintendo’s financial management solutions to meet Nintendo’s needs.

Infinium CRM is a fully-integrated, highly flexible, Web-based solution that supports business relationship management, sales and marketing, and support services with a single, central market database. Infinium CRM offers PDA capabilities, Web-based information exchange, fast implementation, and zero maintenance desktop functionality as well.
