IRS to Streamline Operations with Chevin

The Internal Revenue Service will use Chevin Software's network management software as part of its continuing effort to become more efficient. Chevin was chosen to help streamline the agency’s day-to-day operations.

The IRS will use Chevin’s TeVISTA product to monitor the effectiveness of its network on an ongoing basis, and more easily plan for the future. Chevin created TeVISTA in response to network administrators requiring a more up-to-date way of managing networks. According to the company, TeVISTA allows managers to look at their networks from any location, home or office, using any standard Web browser.

The IRS deal is Chevin's first federal contract; the company hopes to secure more federal business as part of its commercial strategy.
