Oracle and BMC Software Extend Alliance
Oracle and BMC Software are extending their alliance to leverage each other's technology in developing systems management solutions to support e-business. The agreement includes BMC Software's selection of the Oracle database as an embedded database for its PATROL family of products and Oracle's deployment of BMC Software's PATROL products internally to complement its use of Oracle Enterprise Manager for measurement and management of Oracle's Global IT Operations.
BMC Software has become an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner -- Oracle's top partnership level within the Oracle Partner Program. BMC Software has also joined Oracle's Backup Solutions Program (BSP). Future releases of BMC Software's backup and recovery solution, SQL-BackTrack, will be built on the Oracle Recovery Manager API.
