I-Data Creates E-Forms Division; Debuts on AS/400
I-Data International A/S, a Denmark-based printing connectivity solutions vendor, has launched a new division focused on the electronic forms creation and integration market.
The first product of this new I-Data eForms division is an AS/400 version of a WYSIWYG electronic form design software, which is shipping now. Other platform versions of the software are on their way. The software allows designers to edit and integrate forms directly instead of working with programmers.
"Traditionally, electronic forms have been developed by technicians, effectively cutting the creative designer out of the loop," says I-Data CEO Nick Jensen. "With I-Data eForms, the entire electronic forms process is now managed by designers in an easy-to-use, what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) environment. We believe this will prove to be a significant new development in the electronic forms market."
I-Data eForms will be established as a separate division of I-Data International with its own separate channel structure, and development teams in the United Kingdom and Denmark.
