WorksRight to Hold Drawing for Free AS/400
With the belief that the best way to get publicity in the AS/400 market is to actually give one away, WorksRight Software Inc. announced it will do just that -- give away a new AS/400 Model 170 on July 1, 1999.
Eligible users must currently own an AS/400 or have one on order as of June 30, 1999. A complete set of rules for the giveaway are posted on the web site, www.worksright.com
"Everyone is bombarded with so much information and advertising, it is hard to get even a few seconds of anyone's time," explains Leon Stewart, President of WorksRight (Madison, Miss.). Everyone likes something free, so we decided that giving away an AS/400 is one way to get a few minutes of attention from our potential customers."
Stewart is quick to point out that the event is not a contest, but instead a giveaway whose only stipulation is visiting the WorksRight Web site to enter the drawing."It may seem like a 'catch 22' to require ownership of an AS/400," Steward says, "but these are the only people who will know what to do with it if they win. Besides, everyone needs a development machine."
The winner will receive the AS/400, OS/400, and the first year's software subscription. The winner will be responsible for purchasing any other licensed software products.
