IBM Promotes Replacement Through Double-Credit
IBM announced last month it has doubled trade-in credits to provide incentive for users of S/36, S/38 and older AS/400 models to upgrade to new AS/400 9406 Model 170 or 720 replacement servers.
The promotion -- available in the United States only -- requires that the order for the replacement machine be placed on or before June 25, 1999. The Date of Installation, as defined in the IBM Customer Agreement, must occur on or later than April 20, 1999, but no later than July 12, 1999.
AS/400 models eligible to be replaced include Y10, B/T, C/P, D, E, F, 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, S/36 or S/38 Model 538X.
