ShowCase Partners With Austin/400, Pinnacle
ShowCase Corp. (Rochester, Minn.), a provider of integrated, business intelligence software and services for the AS/400 platform, recently announced that Austin/400 (Austin, Texas) has joined the ShowCase service partner program.
Austin/400 offers a spectrum of Infinium and ShowCase STRATEGY implementation and modification expertise, and also has training available on all levels in order to help developers and end users maximize the benefits of these tools. Under terms of the agreement, Austin/400 will provide both telephone training and classroom training sessions.
Through the partnership with Austin/400, Showcase -- which has 2,200 AS/400 customers -- will be able to provide its customers with training and implementation options, ranging from data access to business intelligence suites. Ultimately, this will allow its clients to get their AS/400 systems running quickly, thus generating a rapid return on IT investments.
"This will eliminate one piece of the learning curve for our customers, and that’s our main focus," says Roger Bottom, VP of marketing for ShowCase.
AS/400 users should benefit from this partnership on many levels. ShowCase’s STRATEGY enables customers to rapidly implement business intelligence data warehouse systems. As a result, the combination of the STRATEGY suite of data tools with Austin/400’s training and implementation expertise is expected to help clients create custom reports more easily. This will allow IS departments to reduce their backlog requests by enabling users to address these requirements themselves.
"Austin 400 has a strong skill base in the Infinium application, and combining their skills in Infinium and STRATEGY will help our customers," Bottom says. "Implementing the multi-dimensional systems on the AS/400 has moved to becoming a standard part a company’s ERP [enterprise resource planning] implementation."
The partnership with Austin/400 continues a growing trend for ShowCase, as they have announced several partnerships -- including one with IBM -- during the early part of this year.
In other news, ShowCase announced the addition of Pinnacle Solutions Inc. (Chicago) to its service partner program. This partnership will enable ShowCase to provide its customers with a number of training and implementation options. Pinnacle offers a broad base of ShowCase STRATEGY services, including ESSBASE/400 implementation and training to help end users and developers.
