Sun Data Changes Name to Solarcom
Sun Data Inc., a Norcross, Ga.-based independent business consulting, systems integration and financing solutions company has announced an organizational name change to Solarcom.
According to Solarcom, the name change was implemented to more accurately reflect the company's "broad range of information technology services and competencies developed to deliver the end-to-end solutions it provides."
Since it's founding in 1976 as Sun Data, Solarcom has transitioned its core business from providing equipment to delivering consulting, design and implementation services. "Changing our name to Solarcom conveys our focus of providing comprehensive services and solutions, rather than primarily products and equipment," says Eric Prockow, Solarcom's chairman and CEO. "While hardware and software offerings are included in the enterprisewide deliverable we design and implement, turnkey business solutions are the thrust of our business services."
