McNealy Flattered by HP's Efforts To Mimic Sun

A week after Carly Fiorina told Wall Street analysts that HP would not likely meet 4th quarter expectations, Sun Microsystems beat the Street estimates by 2 cents.

The ever feisty Scott McNealy, took advantage of the situation by saying that he was flattered by the imitative efforts of HP and IBM. The public challenge to Sun by HP, IBM and others would be even more of a concern if we were fighting against new and improved strategies, but we're not," McNealy said. "If imitation is the highest form of flattery, we are 'very' flattered."
