The AS/400 has added another player to the market, as Condor Technology Solutions Inc. (Annapolis, Md.) has announced that its Safari InfoTools now supports the AS/400 environment. Condor’s Safari InfoTools are a suite of business intelligence, report writing, data management and connectivity products.
According to Condor, the move was made to service AS/400 customers seeking real-time data access and reporting capabilities from multiple data sources in a graphical environment.
“Moving into the AS/400 is a natural progression for us,” says Evan Roth, general manager of Condor’s Safari Solutions division. “This gives AS/400 shops the strong production and ad-hoc reporting power needed for quick analysis of important business information.”
“We are pleased to add Condor’s Safari InfoTools suite of products to the AS/400’s broad application portfolio,” says Karen Smith, director of solutions marketing, IBM AS/400 business.
Safari’s multi-architecture allows enterprisewide connectivity and consolidation--regardless of operating environments or data structures. This allows organizations to efficiently link users to any combination of multiple data sources in Unix, IBM, Windows, VMS and MPE environments.
