Teklynx Adds Host Connectivity Print Product
AIDC-market player Teklynx International (Milwaukee) introduces a new host connectivity product, SENTINEL PrintPack, a middleware solution enabling printing from ERP/MRPII, WMS, or host based applications.
Designed for data capture and label printing, SENTINEL PrintPack extracts information from data or text streams enabling ERP applications such as Baan and SAP and RF data collection systems to drive hundreds of thermal transfer bar code printers without hours of programming.
Some of the features of SENTINEL PrintPack include the ability for host data streams to be parsed into any combination of characters, graphics, bar codes, or 2D symbologies using familiar Windows interfaces.
“Whether your host computer is running AS/400, UNIX, Windows 95/98, Windows NT/2000, SENTINEL can accept and process any data stream,” says Lee Patty, product manager at Teklynx International. “SENTINEL can get you up and running fast—with no customer programming.”
SENTINEL PrintPack enables users to print labels created using CODESOFT or LabelView bar code labeling software. It interprets and re-routes the data from your application to the label’s field. Since the printer format of the labels is stored in receiving station, no graphical information moves through the network, increasing throughput of printing tasks.
