AS/400 player Manhattan Associates Inc. (Atlanta) has joined forces with eight solution providers to focus on delivering rapidly deployed seamlessly integrated, high performance and scaleable e-fulfillment solutions.

Participants in the consortium include: Peach Sate Integrated Technologies Inc., Crisplant Inc., Interlake Material Handling Inc., Raymond Corp/Carolina Handling LLC, Real Time Solutions, SeayCo Integrators Inc., and Storopack Inc.

Along with the announcement, the members launched their first solution, dcVelocity, which helps to reduce the time from data analysis to installation/start-up by almost 50 percent.

dcVelocity’s materials handling components and software are pre-integrated, providing users with a fully integrated solution that can be rapidly deployed. This new solution allows users to process simple or complex orders such as single line/single-unit orders. Changes in order volumes, service levels, or complexities are easily managed with the systems flexibility.

“As the leading e-fulfillment provider, we are excited about our participation in dcVelocity,” says Jeff Mitchell, VP of sales for Manhattan. “We recognize the market’s need for pre-engineered, fully integrated solutions that can be rapidly implemented. dcVelocity is an innovative program that will allow e-commerce companies to beat their competition to market and achieve levels of satisfaction.”
