Business-to-business communications solution provider AVT Corp. (Kirkland, Wash.) is expanding its relationship with IBM and Lotus with the announcement that its CallXpress unified messaging solution passed the IBM benchmark to provide unified messaging in an AS/400 environment with Lotus Notes and Domino.
In October of 1999, AVT and Lotus joined forces to provide comprehensive unified messaging solutions for Lotus Domino (R5) server and Lotus Notes R5 client. By extending its relationship, the CallXpress product qualification represents the first messaging solution to receive AS/400 benchmark approvals from IBM and Lotus, according to AVT.
“AVT is pleased to bring its CallXpress unified messaging solution to Lotus Notes and Domino on the IBM AS/400 platform,” says Randy Ottinger, president of the CTI Software Group at AVT Corp. “The IBM AS/400 is a recognized leader in reliability and functionality for enterprises. The combined AVT, IBM and Lotus solution provides functionality and productivity to enterprise users that is unlike any solution on the market today.”By implementing CallXpress, AS/400 users with Lotus Notes and Domino will benefit from increased productivity and timesavings. Woods, IBM AS/400 global business development executive. “Requirements for a telephony application, such as CallXpress, call for high levels of reliability and availability. Our Lotus Notes and Domino customers operating their CallXpress system with the IBM AS/400 can rest assures that their business-critical communications—voice, fax and e-mail messages-are managed on one of the most secure and highly scalable platforms in the industry.”
