Dirig & Bradmark Collaborate
Dirig Software and Bradmark Technologies have signed an agreement to jointly develop and market a new product for applications, database and systems performance management. The joint solution will combine the systems and applications management functionality of Proctor, from Dirig, and the database management capabilities of Bradmark's DBGeneral.
This solution will provide IT managers with a product suite for managing Oracle and Sybase databases and the applications that are built on these database technologies for NT, UNIX and Linux. It will also automatically detect normal performance metrics for each application and enable proactive database and application management through thresholds that predict, detect and prevent critical system failures.
Dirig and Bradmark will each market and sell the new product as extensions to their existing product suites beginning in August. The first evolution of the new solution will combine Bradmark's Sybase and Oracle database monitoring features with Dirig's secure, dynamically-generated, real-time Web-based user interface, Proctor management console, Proctor systems and applications management technology, and seamless integration through Proctor to SPECTRUM from Aprisma Management Technologies.
