Datalink.net Acquires Cross Communications
San Jose, Calif.-based Datalink.net, a wireless ASP, has completed its acquisition of Cross Communications, a provider of enterprise messaging software, including wireless applications for network management messaging and monitoring, field workforce communications, help desk operations, and Internet messaging and monitoring.
Through the acquisition, Cross products and technology will be merged into Datalink.net's current product offering to create both premised-based and ASP hosted wireless data communications solutions. Cross plug-and-play solutions are available on both UNIX, including HP-UX, and Windows platforms. ASP Datalink.net's XpressLink technology processes high-speed data content feeds or corporate databases for wireless applications that are compatible with a range of wireless devices, networks and protocols.
