Affirmative Computer Products Announce YEStation Extra with GUI

Affirmative Computer Products (Scottsdale, Ariz.) recently announced a new software revision for its YEStation Extra, featuring a built-in Graphical User Interface (GUI). The new GUI enables AS/400 users to turn green screen displays into push-button controls. With these enhancements, menu items and function keys can be converted to 3D buttons that can be activated by either a mouse click or touch screen monitors.
Introduced in 1999, the YEStation is a Windows Based Terminal that runs on the CE operating system and is optimized for AS/400 and mainframe users. The terminal includes mounting hardware and can be oriented vertically or horizontally. There are no moving parts and the unit comes with a lifetime warranty.
“The YEStation Extra is the only AS/400 Thin Client solution with a built-in GUI and touch screen support,” says Charles Winslow, president of Affirmative Computer Products. “A number of our retail clients are planning to deploy the YEStation Extra inside kiosks using the touch screen feature replacing trackball keyboards attached to PCs. Our built-in GUI will be used with AS/400-based applications as well as browser accessible HTML screens.”
