California Software Launches E-Commerce Product

California Software Corporation (Irvine, Calif.), a provider of IBM Midrange migration products and developer of the BABY product line, has set a Sept. 30 release date for baby.com, its latest product.

"Used alone, baby.com is a suite of programs that utilizes the latest Microsoft technologies to bring AS/400 screens to the Internet," says Carol Conway, president of California Software. "Combined with BABY/GUI, the developer can build and design graphical screens at a global level," she says.

baby.com provides developers and end-users with the ability to make AS/400 applications available to remote clients over the Internet, intranet or extranet.

The product was designed to be an easy to use, fast to deploy and inexpensive business-to-business, e-commerce solution for AS/400 systems deployed worldwide.

California Software Corporation’s products, marketed under the BABY brand name, support the migration of IBM AS/400 screens and applications to the Windows environment, as well as the Web. California Software markets its products through a domestic and international distributor network of Business Partners. Many of these Business Partners utilize the BABY family of products to present a Windows NT, client/server or Graphical version of their existing AS/400 or System/3X software.
