BNX Authenticated Sign-On™ Version 5.5 Slashes Enterprise Single Sign-On Application Deployment Time

Software reduces time spent enabling applications for single sign-on by 80 percent; empowers users to update own application credentials

VIENNA, VA.-- Aug. 8, 2005 -- BNX Systems™, a leading provider of enterprise identity and access management solutions, today announced the release of BNX Authenticated Sign-On 5.5. With version 5.5, IT administrators can slash the time it takes to enable most applications for enterprise single sign-on (E-SSO) by 80 percent and significantly reduce associated IT costs. The solution also empowers users to quickly and easily manage their own credentials.

The latest version of BNX Authenticated Sign-On features an Express Mode for the BNX Adapter Builder, a wizard-driven tool used to create E-SSO adapters without any scripting or programming for Web-, Windows-, and terminal-based applications. By using Express Mode, E-SSO adapters can be created for most applications with a few clicks of the mouse. Advanced Mode functionality can be used to tackle more complex applications. This release also gives IT administrations the ability to enable users to input their own application credentials during initial login, virtually eliminating the most time-consuming part of E-SSO deployments -- the manual process of adding usernames for E-SSO-enabled applications.

According to Sally Hudson, IDC analyst, “Customers looking for a reliable, modular, and integrated E-SSO solution may find BNX offerings optimal based on the company’s established products, solid partnerships, and customer service commitment.”

BNX Authenticated Sign-On 5.5 also features support for more than 40 authentication options including tokens, fingerprint scanners, facial recognition, iris reading, and smart card and proximity devices. “The business benefits of BNX Authenticated Sign-On are proven,” said Mike Harper, CEO of BNX. “It helps organizations increase their security, meet regulatory compliance requirements, decrease help desk costs, and increase employee productivity. With this release, enterprises can realize these benefits faster than ever before and at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). BNX’s solution provides enterprise IT administrators with the most flexible, powerful tools to assist them in the rapid deployment of E-SSO and advanced authentication technology.”
