Denodo Platform Version 4.0 Now Available
Latest version combines Web automation and query features to improve business apps
Version 4.0 of the Denodo Platform from Denodo Technologies Inc. is now available to the general public, the company announced Monday.
The Denodo Platform is a unified data integration platform that lets organizations "access, extract, and merge data across any digital source to create SOA data services," the company said in a press release.
According to Denodo, the Denodo Platform combines enterprise information integration, indexing/search, and Web automation technologies to create Web-automated B2B and B2C applications with more comprehensive data feeds.
"The ability to link Internet and internal data sources, whether they are structured or unstructured, in a combined query and search environment could be very powerful in the right circumstances," said Bloor Research's Philip Howard in the Denodo press release. "As far as I am aware, no other vendor has this capability right now."
New features in version 4.0 of the Denodo platform include "out of the box functionality" to structure PDFs, HTML, and other unstructured content, and the ability to query this content using SQL; improved Web automation features, including "example-based pattern recognition," to manage Web site changes; a host of data cleansing, normalization, and textual matching tools; heterogeneous query optimization; and more.
