Updated SafeWord’s Two-Factor Authentication Protects Applications, Information

Solution supports Citrix, Cisco, Check Point, Juniper

Secure Computing Corporation today released SafeWord 2008, an update to the company’s two-factor authentication product. SafeWord’s tokens protect access to critical information assets and applications through Citrix applications, VPNs, Web applications, and Outlook Web Access. It is designed for the latest 64-bit Windows environments, including Vista and Windows 2008 Server, and can be seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Active Directory.

The new version of SafeWord provides a positive proof of identity before allowing access to the network. The company also offers the Enterprise Solution Pack, an add-on module that includes the SecureWire Access Gateway as well as applications to improve productivity, security, and compliance.

The package includes a zero-footprint SSL VPN, SecureWireTM Access Gateway, that enables an enterprise to make applications, data, and network connectivity available to selected internal and external users, such as employees, customers, and business partners.

Access Gateway customers can implement MobilePass to turn users’ mobile devices into a two-factor authenticator.

SafeWord 2008 is available as a bundled authentication solution. New customers receive the SafeWord 2008 tokens, software, user licenses, and one year of technical support; customers can choose a form factor: Alpine tokens, branded solutions for Citrix, Cisco, Check Point, and Nortel, Gold tokens, as well as MobilePass software authenticators. Tokens come with a lifetime warranty.
