Ipswitch Releases WhatsUp Gold Version 12

Latest version features more customizable reports and online tools

Ipswitch Inc. recently announced that version 12 of its WhatsUp Gold network management product is now available for the MSP, Distributed, Standard, and Premium editions.

As with other WhatsUp Gold products, version 12 has been designed to be scalable and adapt to growing businesses, according Warren Neuburger, president of Ipswitch's Network Management division.

"WhatsUp Gold can scale with an organization as it grows so there is no need to implement new systems or retrain personnel, and historical data is never lost," Neuburger said in a press release.

Added Ennio Carboni, the division's vice president of sales: "Network professionals can be assured that as their networks grow in complexity, the product family's scalable architecture provides a seamless migration path to support their increasing needs, right out of the box."

Additionally, the company said, the latest version features customizable "real-time data graphs" -- including data graphs on individual devices' usage -- that can be added to workspace views. This real-time data can also be shown in comparison with historical data.

Other features include online management tools, extended SNMP capabilities, an "Email Monitor" that keeps an eye on mail server availability, and Vista support.

Pricing for the WhatsUp Gold version 12 starts at $195 for five devices (MSP edition) up to $2,595 for 100 devices (Premium edition). Those who already have active service agreements for version 11 may receive version 12 for free. For more information, visit http://www.whatsupgold.com/products/whats-new.aspx.
